SCORING

As Director of Football your team will score points as set out below
Click to see the Auction rules

Your manager

Managers score 5 points for a win and 2 points for a draw.

If they are sent to the stands or red carded during or after the game -5 points

If you lose your manager

If a DoF loses their manager for whatever reason then they can either choose a manager from the PL managers who haven't been selected or they can bid for the new manager arriving into the league.

If they choose to bid then an auction is declared for any DoF to take part in. If no other DoF takes part then the new manager goes for free to the DoF who has made the bid.

If two or more DoFs take part in an auction it will take place online as soon as possible. Whoever wins the auction secures that new manager. If it is the DoF who has just lost their manager that's the end of the process.

However if a DoF other than the DoF who has just lost their manager wins the auction then the DoF who has lost their manager can choose from the available managers including the manager who has just been jettisoned by the successful DoF in the auction.

Please note while any DoF has no manager they will not score any manager points.

Boosts

You will be able to BOOST your team's score TWICE throughout the season.

However you MUST use at least ONE of your team boosts before Transfer Day 1 and you MUST use both your boosts by Transfer Day 2

BOOST 1

Select a round of matches to double your teams score for that round

BOOST 2

Select a round of matches where your star player scores TRIPLE points

(3 TIMES star player usual points e.g. if star player scores 7 points he would normally get 7 +4 =11 but with BOOST he gets 11 x 3 =33)

(Boosts must be WhatsApped to the group before kick off i

Your name and then either Team Boost or Star Player Boost

To register a boost you must use Whats App

Three's a Crowd

At any time during the season you can choose to use THREE'S A CROWD

In the week leading up to your chosen match choose THREE players from your team and they will score TWO  times their points score in that game.

The three players must not include your star player or young pretender

Substitutes

In your squad you will have selected 2 substitutes : 1 defender and 1 attacker

  • At any stage you may substitute a player into your starting X1 (this can be for any reason-player may have been moved out of the Premier League,  may have lost form or may have an injury)

  • Your substitute defender can ONLY replace a defender in your team.

  • Your substitute attacker can ONLY replace an attacker in your team

You may return a substitute to the starting XI providing it is done the day before a full set of fixtures

If you have to make your Star Player a substitute due to injury or exit from the Premier League then your Young Pretender automatically becomes your temporary Star Player. If you are able to return your Star Player to the starting XI then your temporary Star Player reverts back to being Young Pretender

Transfer Day 1 Sunday December 1  1030am

Transfer Day 2 Sunday  February 23 1030am

Further Explanations

*A 'Save' is defined as a goalkeeper preventing the ball from entering the goal with any part of his body when facing an intentional attempt from an opposition player.

** In order to earn a full clean sheet bonus (5 points), your player must complete at least 60 minutes of the match and his team must keep a clean sheet for the entire match (including extra-time but excluding shootouts).
If a player is on the pitch for less than 60 minutes and his team keeps a clean sheet for the full match (including extra-time but excluding shootouts), he'll score a part clean sheet bonus (2 points).
All players still earn +2 points for being in the starting XI of a match and +1 for coming on as a substitute.
So, for example, if your player starts the match, plays an hour or more, and his team finishes the match with a clean sheet - then your goalkeeper/defender will score +7 points.

***A 'tackle' is defined as where a player connects with the ball in a ground challenge where he successfully takes the ball away from the player in possession. The tackled player must clearly be in possession of the ball before the tackle is made. The final destination of the ball (to the tackler, to a teammate, to an opposition player, out of play) is not considered. A tackle will only be deemed unsuccessful if the player tackled retains possession of the ball.

What's an Assist?

An Assist is the final touch (pass, pass-cum-shot or any other touch) leading to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal.

Outside of fantasy football, if the final touch is deflected by an opposition player, the initiator is only given a goal assist if the receiving player was likely to receive the ball without the deflection having taken place. Own goals, directly taken free kicks, direct corner goals and penalties do not get an assist awarded.

However, within the realms of fantasy football, assists are awarded more generously and can be credited for:

  • heavily deflected passes or crosses that lead directly to a goal

  • shots on target saved when the rebound is scored

  • shots blocked if the rebound is scored

  • shots hitting the woodwork if the rebound scored

  • winning a penalty

  • winning a free kick leading to a direct free kick goal

  • a free-kick instigated by forced handball that leads to a direct free kick goal

  • instigating an own goal usually through shot/pass/cross

Please note, a player cannot earn an Assist for a goal he has scored himself, e.g. earning a penalty and then scoring that same penalty.
